About the club

The previous Brentwood '72 handball club was National Champion in 5 consecutive years between 1979 and 1983 in the English National League 1 and players from Brentwood represented Great Britain and England.

With London winning the 2012 Olympics, and handball being an Olympic sport, the handball club was started up again in 2009 by Tom Smith and John Compton under the coaching of experienced player and coach Hans-Jörg.

Our Monday sessions are for the league squad and experienced players (male and female) only and are held at the
Brentwood centre. We are looking forward to offering taster sessions once again in the near future, probably on Wednesday evenings. Please note that a certain number of participants is needed to run purposeful training sessions which offer a meaningful introduction to the sport as well as fun. If you are interested, please register your interest by e-mailing us.
